original-black.pngFounded in the U.S.A. in 1916, Monroe is one of the most respected brands in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. The company’s founders pioneered the dual-action hydraulic shock – the Monroe Shock Eliminator – in the 1920s, and the brand has continued to build on this heritage of innovation. Today, Tenneco is one of the largest suspension manufacturers in the world with more than 90 million shocks and struts produced in 2015 for car manufacturers and the aftermarket. The company is a global leader in conventional and advanced original equipment (OE) suspension including adaptive, semi-active and active suspension solutions that can be tailored to very specific driving preferences and environments. A variety of these new technologies, offered under the Monroe Intelligent Suspension brand, are available on a number of leading car brands.

“Tenneco and Monroe are as committed to the talented professionals who maintain and repair today’s vehicles as they are to the vehicle manufacturers and their customers,” said Bruce Ronning, Vice President and General Manager, Tenneco Europe Aftermarket. “Our leading OE position in the ride control, suspension and emission control categories represents an important competitive advantage for the workshops that choose Monroe and Walker® aftermarket products for their customers’ vehicles.”

Tenneco’s ability to help workshops communicate the benefits of replacing worn shocks, struts and suspension parts is a key to the Monroe brand’s success. “Shocks, struts and suspension parts are largely invisible to the consumer,” Ronning explained. “We invest in innovative education programs that illustrate the vital benefits of replacing worn parts. It’s all about consumers’ awareness and safety through better, stronger relationships with their vehicle service providers.”

b-connected-black.pngTenneco also provides programs and technical support to help ensure that workshop professionals are able to quickly, efficiently and accurately diagnose and repair even the most complex ride control, suspension and emission control issues.  At the center of this effort is the “B-Connected” initiative, which includes free, 24/7 access to world-class tools such as the Technicians Advanced Digital Information System (TADIS), which includes thousands of technical resources such as videos, e-learning modules, specification sheets, diagnostic tips, fitting instructions, and more.  Each of these resources is available free-of-charge through the “B-Connected” link at www.monroe.com.
